A Registered Investment Adviser, John Medlin is the
founder/president of Tetrahedron Investment Management and committed to Seeking Higher Returns on Your Investments. A private investor since 1963, over the last forty-five years John has been a stockbroker with Merrill Lynch and EF Hutton, a Securities Principal with Private Ledger Financial Services, and a commodities broker with ANCO Futures. In the 1980's and 90's he was a venture capitalist and investment banker. During this period John and his partner raised $25,000,000 for Nova Information Systems, at the time the largest equity financing for a start-up company in Atlanta's history. NIS went public in 1996 valued at $600MM and was bought by US Bank Corp for $2.1 BILLION in July 2001.
With an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University in Atlanta and former Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor as well as Manager of Internal Auditing, VP of Finance, and Controller for various private companies and organizations, John brings his accounting, finance, and business insights to TIM and the Investment Tides & Cycles newsletter.
A native of Charleston, SC, John was a Captain in the US Army and served in Vietnam as a Civil Affairs Officer and later at Fort McPherson, Georgia where he was a Press Officer for the My Lai Trials. Under the auspices of the UCLA's Independent Study in Film & Television Production program, John was the writer/producer/director of two short films.
